Swervedriver set course for Brum

Swervedriver’s mix of melody and volume in the indie era of the 90s struck a chord with an army of fans.

Tracks like Rave Down and Son of a Mustang Ford got them noticed around the globe. they toured America with massive acts including Soundgarden and Smashing Pumpkins.

After four albums in what they call their first era, the band went their separate ways but returned in 2015 with a new release.

They are now back with new their album, Future Ruins, which has won four-star reviews from Q, MOJO, Uncut, The Skinny and DIY.

The Oxford duo will be on the road in the UK later this year and the tour will take in Birmingham’s O2 Institute 2 on Friday May 17.
