Wolves fan Gary bringing Reef to the Black Country

Rockers Reef are heading back to the Black Country for a gig at the Robin 2 in Bilston.

The band has a close connection to the region, singer Gary Stringer is a big fan of Wolverhampton Wanderers so although they hail from down south the Robin gig will have the feel of a homecoming.

Our Base Sessions team caught up with Gary ahead of a tour back in 2010 and got the chance for a chat in his footballing heaven – the manager’s dugout at Molineux.

Since the 2010 tour Reef have had their fair share of upheavals, guitarist Kenwyn House left and was replaced by Jesse Wood, son of Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood.

Their latest album, Revelation, which features Cheryl Crow on guest vocals, came out earlier this year.

The band will be live on stage at The Robin 2 on Thursday December 13 with support from Broken Witt Rebels.
