Wolves guitar master Pete Kent ready for the Robin

Black Country guitarist Pete Kent performs a unique style of playing encompassing bass lines, chords, melody and percussion simultaneously.

Through performing his own compositions and arrangements of well known artists’ material, he has gained global recognition.

He has received plaudits from some of the worlds most renowned guitarists including Michael Fix, Level 42 bassist Mark King and American maestro Andy McKee, who said: “Wolverhampton has its own brilliant fingerstyle guitarist, I hope I can play that fast when I grow up.”

This often gives the listener the impression they are hearing multiple musicians playing individual instruments.

In 2014 Pete signed to Revolver Records and released his debut album The Sands Of Time.

Kent’s YouTube videos have been featured on Acoustic Guitar Magazine USA and Guitarworld.com further enhancing his reputation globally.

His second album, The Hidden Hand, was released in May 2016 to critical acclaim.

Pete Kent will be playing live at The Robin 2, Bilston, on Wednesday February 20.
