Rehearsals and Recording facilities in the Midlands


Base Studios is a music studio complex based in Stourbridge in the West Midlands (UK). Rehearsal rooms for bands are available seven days a week while we also have a 200+ Venue, a Digital Recording Studio and Video media service. Some of our customers who rehearse, record or have used the Base Media service are UB40, Big Country, The Stranglers, Paul Young, Reef, The Wonderstuff, Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Selecter, Diamond Head, Ned's Atomic Dustbin and Roy Wood (Wizard/ELO).

Base Studios is also home to a number of different Educational music courses and facilities for eager musicians, songwriters and bands aged between 16-24. For more info on course dates and availability throughout the year call Warren Evans on 07711046711. We currently are working with the MAS Records Band Development program. Rock legend Robert Plant (Front man of rock band Led Zeppelin) is the patron of MAS Records along with Karl Hyde (one half of world re-knowned dance act Underworld).
The Saturday Music Club is for 14 to 18 year olds. The club offers teenagers the chance to learn from experienced musicians and industry professionals. Funded by the Big Lottery Fund. Music legend Rick Wakeman supports the Base Studios Youth Music Project.
Friday Nights / Events @ BASE
Friday nights at Base Studios give bands of all genres and performers including indie, rock, metal and funk with a fantastically versatile state of the art Venue to perform in. The night evolved from an open mic type of event. We now have a vibrant live music night for the West Midlands. Up to five artists of all genres, ages and nationality can book a gig slot on the Base Studios main stage and get their 20-30 minutes of fame. We provide a full back line including drum kit (drummers need to bring felts, clutch, cymbals and breakables) two 4x12 guitar cabs + head, 1 Bass rig, full digital P.A. and lights with sound engineer.
